Food craving is a usual problem with many people. Sometimes, people don't even feel hungry but still 'want' to eat something. This is craving, where actually your stomach doesn't demand food, but your taste buds or heart does. It makes you feel tempted and tickles your taste buds to overdo and add on to your extra kilos.

Here are some ways to control cravings for food, which will surely help you:
  1. Avoid being tempted- As always said, losing weight is a dedicated process. Therefore, whenever you look at a box of chocolate or your favorite pizza, try to avoid being tempted. Is it difficult? Yes it is, but then instead of bringing the craving into your mind, stat focusing on your weight. Remember, if it goes into your stomach, it is adding extra efforts for you itself.

  4. Keep yourself busy- this is a very usual problem faced by people. When you are free your mind makes you feel hungry and then begins the craving. The best way to control craving is to keep you busy with work. Keep working or if free, try reading or practicing your favorite hobby. This will help you distract from craving.
  5. Green tea or lemon tea can control your appetite- This is one such beverage that destroys your appetite. When you feel tempted, try taking tea. It kills your unnecessary desire for food.
  6. Take healthy and good nap- If you have been overstressing yourself and not taking ample amount of good nap, and then be cautious! This is one of the reasons for food craving. When you deprive yourself of sleep, then you are dipping your energy levels. Remember, dipping energy levels are an invitation to craving.
  7. Chew your craving away- Chewing gums can work really well. When you feel enticed, buy yourself a few mint chewing gums. This distracts you and flushes away the needless thought of eating.
  8. Don't starve yourself- If you are hungry, eat a healthy diet. Don't starve yourself because this will produce a need for food after sometime. Hunger can prompt passionate craving for carbohydrates.
