It is very important to exhale as you lift your legs in order to get the most of contraction in the belly region. The exercises can be carried on for at least three to five times a week either at the beginning of the workout session or at the end of the workout session. Bent knee raises: For this exercise you would have to position yourself with your back against the back pad and your arms on the arm rests. Step off the platform and make sure that your arms are supporting your weight. (The bent knee raise is the basic exercise on which the other exercises are based upon). Lift your legs either with bent knees or straight legs, while keeping the back against the pad. While returning the legs to the original position, make sure that you do the same in at a slow pace. Figure 4 leg lift: Put your left leg over your right knee forming a figure 4, this exercise is done while being in the basic position. To reduce the pressure on your back you can bend your right leg and thereafter switch between the legs. Basic obliques: Lift your bent knees while twisting from the waist to the side.
