- Commence while being in the pike position. Keep the ab wheel at the low end of the bench in front of your toes, keep your legs straight. Roll out keeping your abs tight, hold on to this position till you feel you would lose control of the wheel. Return to the starting position.
Some tips while using the ab wheel
- While doing exercises on the ab wheel ensure that your back does not arch. Try keeping you're back rounded.
- While performing an ab wheel jacknife, allow your arms and legs to remain at full extension. Keeping the arms and legs at full extension is important to derive the required muscular contractions.
- Make sure that you perform your exercises after learning the right technique. Chances of injuries would be least when you are aware of the right techniques.
- If while doing any exercise you feel excruciating pain, you must stop the exercise. Don't push beyond your limits.
- Allow injuries to recover fully before you can resume with your exercise regime.
