It is related to the diet disturbance as once you start eating, it becomes difficult to control. Due to the busy schedule, we have very less or no time to practice the basic behavior of eating like how our ancestors use to follow when technology was not invented. Eating disorder never existed that time, as they lived a healthier life compared to how people are living now. Eating disorder can be less eating or over eating. Many problems are associated with it. Instead of following a proper diet to lose weight or feeling hungry every time even when proper food is consumed, is the sign of eating disorder. What is Eating Disorder?

Eating disorders are of two types - anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. Both are related to the disorder of food like body image disorder, binge eating and food phobia. It has been noticed that these days, it has become more common.

Overeating

People, who have the tendency to consume more calories and fail to burn it, later have to face the weight gain problem. Though the weight gets distributed throughout the body, most of the time it ends up getting accumulated in the belly area. Overeating is the problem where the calories that are excess get converted in fat and gets accumulated in the abdominal and belly area.

As per the research made, the exact food causing belly fat is not known. However, some types of food like sugary foods, fried foods, processed foods or fatty foods are responsible for the weight gain. The reason is that these substances are rich in fat and some nutrients that make the person feel satisfied. Any kind of food if consumed in excess can definitely result in belly fat problem, including healthy items.

According to some researchers, overeating should not be considered as eating disorder. Eating disorder is the unhealthy relation between food and emotional problems related to food.

Symptoms of Overeating

  • Continuous binge eating later results to lack of control
  • Feeling ashamed because of excessive food consumption
  • Gain in weight

Many people have the tendency to eat more quickly than usual when they overeat. While some eat too much even when they are not hungry, there are some who eat alone in secret.

Bloating

Bloating is another reason which is somehow related to the eating disorder and causes belly fat. If you bloat, you notice that stomach looks fat and pops out. Bloating occurs due to some disruption in the digestive system and increase in gas in the stomach. Gastrointestinal disorders like irritable bowel can be held responsible for it. Bloating also takes place when you chew the gum along with taking some extra air. Taking large meals, especially the ones which are rich in fatty foods can cause bloating. In case if you think you are getting a belly fat or it looks swollen, then you may have a bloating problem. Due to this, the stomach size changes throughout the day.

The problem of eating disorder reflects the body image which you wish for. You may have eating disorder when you try hard to lose weight thinking that your friends will laugh at you or you don't have liking towards the food. However, eating disorder can also be when you just want to eat more and more even if you are full. The symptoms of eating disorder are same in men and women.

You must know about belly fat caused due to eating disorder as it can create severe health problems. Health issues like blood pressure problem, diabetes, or heart disease can take place if the disorder is neglected. Curing eating disorder is possible only when you maintain a healthy diet and have regular exercise. Following them regularly can definitely lessen the problem of belly fat and issues associated with it.
