This exercise can be done for 10 repetitions of four sets. While doing the crunch, you should not feel too stretched but you should find it hard to pull back to the original position.

The oblique crunch exercise: Using the ab roller, begin your exercise by lying flat on the floor with your feet firm on the floor. Hold the bar on the ab roller with your head placed on the headrest. Drop the legs off from one side while the shoulders are lifted at an angle of around 45 degrees from the ground. While doing the exercise make sure that you pull with your abdominal muscles and not your legs and your arms. Return to the normal position.

The raised leg crunch exercise: This abdominal exercise also begins with the person lying on the floor with leg stretched outwards. The hands would have to be placed on the ab roller bar and the head has to be placed on the headrest. While doing this exercise make sure that the legs are kept together, when you lift the legs. Lift your shoulders to an angle of around 45 degrees from the floor.

Doing abdominal exercises with the ab roller would surely help you tone up your abs. The ab exercises function to convert the abdominal fat into abdominal muscles. Following the right exercise techniques would yield positive results. Along with using the ab rollers, make sure you eat healthy food items.
